Brighton

A clean lemon yellow with a cool cast — sunlight in the morning rather than late afternoon. Where its catalog sibling Momentum warms toward gold, Brighton stays bright and citric, and that distinction matters: cool yellows hold their identity next to whites and greens, while golden yellows blur into cream-heavy palettes.

The grow story

Brighton grows in our own production fields at 3,200 meters in Cayambe, Ecuador, in the Andes. Yellow pigment fades fast under heat stress, which is why lowland yellows so often arrive looking tired. At this altitude the pattern inverts: fierce equatorial light builds dense pigment by day, and near-frost nights lock it in, slowing the bloom's metabolism. The dense 50-petal head is the visible result. Cut, hydrated, graded, and cold-packed within 48 hours of harvest.

Brighton's 50-petal head opens slowly and symmetrically, so it photographs well at every stage rather than only at peak. Care notes

Re-cut at 45° under running water and hydrate in 95–100°F water with preservative. Store at 34–38°F. Yellows show transit bruising less than whites but reveal botrytis spotting more — inspect on arrival and give bunches airflow in the cooler. Moderately ethylene-sensitive; the usual no-fruit rule applies.
