Hot pink with attitude. Gotcha runs a saturated hot pink — Interplant breeding that keeps the color loud through the full vase week, where most hot-pink roses settle softer by day five. The 40-petal head opens to a high-cupped spiral that holds its architecture confidently: not a loose garden form, not a tight bud, but a clean cup that designers can pull from the cooler and place straight into a recipe.

The grow story

Grown at 3,200 meters in our own production in Cayambe, Ecuador, in the high Andes. Hot pink is anthocyanin-heavy, and saturated pinks live or die on slow petal-build conditions — heat speeds development and the color comes in thin. The cold Andean nights stack the pigment layer over layer; the strong equatorial light keeps loading saturation through every bud stage. The result is a hot pink that arrives loud and finishes loud. Cut, hydrated, graded, and cold-packed within 48 hours of harvest.

Care notes

Re-cut at 45° under running water; first hydration in 95–100°F water with preservative, then hold at 34–38°F. Saturated pinks show petal-edge burn if held warm — keep the cooler honest at 34–38°F on long holds. The high-cupped form opens cleanly over two to three days. Moderately ethylene-sensitive; standard cooler discipline applies.
