Gotcha
The signature magenta-leaning hot pink. Grown in our own production at 3,200 meters altitude in Cayambe, Ecuador.
Hot pink with attitude. Gotcha runs a saturated hot pink — Interplant breeding that keeps the color loud through the full vase week, where most hot-pink roses settle softer by day five. The 40-petal head opens to a high-cupped spiral that holds its architecture confidently: not a loose garden form, not a tight bud, but a clean cup that designers can pull from the cooler and place straight into a recipe.
The grow story
Grown at 3,200 meters in our own production in Cayambe, Ecuador, in the high Andes. Hot pink is anthocyanin-heavy, and saturated pinks live or die on slow petal-build conditions — heat speeds development and the color comes in thin. The cold Andean nights stack the pigment layer over layer; the strong equatorial light keeps loading saturation through every bud stage. The result is a hot pink that arrives loud and finishes loud. Cut, hydrated, graded, and cold-packed within 48 hours of harvest.

Best for
Fiesta and tropical event work, quinceañera and sweet-sixteen programs, fashion-forward weddings that need pink to read confident not sweet, Valentine's counterprogramming for clients tired of red, and any palette that wants energy injection. Gotcha is the rose designers reach for when the brief says "pink, but not the usual pink." Anchor the bright register from our wholesale rose range.
Pairs beautifully with
- Pink Floyd (deep magenta) to deepen the saturated end
- Full Monty (electric pink) for wall-to-wall brightness
- Hot Explorer (electric magenta) for the family tonal build
- Spray Rose Hot Pink for matched-tone detail work
- Solidago for golden filler that pops hot pink visually
Care notes
Re-cut at 45° under running water; first hydration in 95–100°F water with preservative, then hold at 34–38°F. Saturated pinks show petal-edge burn if held warm — keep the cooler honest at 34–38°F on long holds. The high-cupped form opens cleanly over two to three days. Moderately ethylene-sensitive; standard cooler discipline applies.
