Cream petals dipped in crimson-pink at the rim — a painted-edge bicolor that reads as two flowers in one. Where Paloma keeps its bicolor story quiet in creams and wheat tones, Cabaret plays it loud, the contrast sharpening as the head opens. Designers use it as a built-in transition stem between a white palette and a pink one.

The grow story

Cabaret is grown at 3,200 meters in our own production in Cayambe, Ecuador, on the high Andean plain. Bicolor edge definition is a temperature effect: the pigment that paints the petal rim develops in response to cold, so the sharp drop in night temperature at this altitude is precisely what draws Cabaret's crimson line crisp instead of smudged. Greenhouses at lower elevations grow the same genetics with visibly softer, blurrier edges. Every harvest is cut, conditioned, and cold-packed within 48 hours.

Best for

Designs that bridge palettes — blush-to-white gradients, garden-style arrangements that want variation without adding varieties, and quinceañera and shower work where pink needs personality. Because every head carries both tones, Cabaret simplifies recipes: one variety does the blending work of two. The 50 cm grade suits compact and retail work; 60 cm covers most events. Find both ends of its gradient in our wholesale rose range.

Care notes

Re-cut at 45° under running water; first hydration in 95–100°F water with preservative. Store at 34–38°F. The edge color deepens slightly as the bloom matures — plan palettes around the day-three rim tone, not the unboxing tone. Moderately ethylene-sensitive; keep fruit out of the cooler.

What working pros say

"Cabaret saves me a variety on every garden-style recipe. The edge gives movement that normally takes three different pinks to fake, and the contrast actually gets better as it opens."

— Event floral designer, Great Lakes region (10 yrs experience)

"The rim stays sharp. I've carried bicolors that arrive looking airbrushed — Cabaret's line is clean enough that customers ask if it's hand-painted."

— Retail florist, Northeast (17 yrs experience)
