Mandala
The signature blush pink. Grown in our own production at 3,200 meters altitude in Cayambe, Ecuador.
An antique cream washed with tan — the vintage end of our neutral range. Where Quicksand leans champagne and warm, Mandala goes older and dustier, a parchment tone with a 55-petal head that opens dense and quartered. It is the rose stylists pull when the reference image says "heirloom" and the venue is a barn, a library, or anywhere candlelit.
The grow story
Grown at 3,200 meters in our own production in Cayambe, Ecuador, high in the Andes. Muted antique tones are the easiest colors to ruin: a few warm nights and parchment turns gray, a little weak light and the tan wash disappears. The Andean combination — cold dark, intense day — holds Mandala's tone exactly where the breeder put it, and builds the petal density that lets a 55-petal head survive a cargo hold. Cut, graded, and cold-packed within 48 hours of harvest.

Best for
Vintage and heirloom-styled weddings, editorial work, neutral tablescapes with brass and linen, and dried-adjacent palettes that still want fresh product. Mandala photographs older than it is — a working advantage when the brief calls for "collected over time." 50 cm suits compote work; 60 cm carries hand-tied and centerpiece designs. Build the muted story from our wholesale rose range.
Pairs beautifully with
- Quicksand (champagne taupe) for the layered neutral gradient
- Barista (coffee brown) to deepen the antique palette
- Vendela (ivory) to brighten without breaking the mood
- Shimmer (peach garden spray) for soft tonal texture
- Eucalyptus Silver Dollar for dusty foliage continuity
Care notes
Re-cut at 45° under running water; first hydration in 95–100°F water with preservative, then 34–38°F storage. The dense head opens slowly — process two to three days ahead for full quartered effect. Keep guard petals on; parchment tones show handling marks. Moderately ethylene-sensitive.
What working pros say
"Mandala is my barn-wedding rose. It looks like it came out of a Dutch still life, and it takes a week of cooler holds without complaint."
— Wedding floral designer, Great Lakes region (11 yrs experience)
"Clients ask if it's dried or dyed. Neither — it just opens that way. Nothing else in the cooler gives me that aged tone with a fresh-rose vase life."
— Studio florist, Mid-Atlantic (8 yrs experience)
