The soft bicolor. Silantoi washes a creamy white base with pale yellow at the petal edges — sunlight on linen rather than a hard two-tone break. Where Brighton commits to full lemon and Cabaret draws a crisp crimson edge, Silantoi blends its two colors so gently that at arrangement distance it reads as a glowing warm white, and only up close does the yellow reveal itself.

The grow story

Grown at 3,200 meters in our own production in Cayambe, Ecuador, in the high Andes. Subtle bicolors are the hardest coloration to keep consistent — a few degrees of extra heat and the yellow either floods the petal or vanishes. The steady high-altitude climate at the equator removes that variability: cold nights fix the gradient where it belongs, and the even twelve-hour days repeat it bloom after bloom. Each harvest is cut, hydrated, graded, and cold-packed within 48 hours of leaving the block.

Best for

Spring weddings, baptisms and communion work, daytime garden parties, and any white-based recipe that feels too stark — Silantoi warms an all-white design without committing it to yellow. It also flatters candlelight, where the cream base picks up the glow. 50 cm works retail bunches; 60 cm carries ceremony work. Warm the palette from our wholesale rose range.

Pairs beautifully with

  • Brighton (lemon yellow) to complete the yellow gradient
  • Vendela (ivory) for layered warm whites
  • Playa Blanca (creamy white) to add ruffled texture
  • Momentum (golden yellow) for deeper warm contrast
  • Solidago to echo the yellow in filler form

Care notes

Re-cut at 45° under running water; first hydration in 95–100°F water with preservative, then hold at 34–38°F. The yellow wash deepens slightly as the bloom opens — design accordingly if color-matching to linens. Pale petals show bruising readily; handle by the stem and keep guard petals on through transport. Moderately ethylene-sensitive.

What working pros say

"Silantoi fixed my too-white problem. All-white weddings photograph cold, and one bunch of Silantoi through the recipe warms the whole frame without anyone clocking it as yellow."

— Wedding floral designer, Great Lakes (13 yrs experience)

"It's the rose for clients who say 'soft yellow' and flinch at actual yellow. Silantoi is the diplomatic answer."

— Retail florist, Carolinas (9 yrs experience)
