The peach that leans pink. Salma sits in the warm gap most pink ranges skip — saltier and sunnier than Be Sweet's clear mid-pink, far rosier than Quicksand's champagne taupe. The 45-petal head opens with a soft salmon glow that reads romantic without tipping into pastel-nursery territory, which is exactly the note the current terracotta-and-blush wedding palette keeps asking for.

The grow story

Grown at 3,200 meters in our own production in Cayambe, Ecuador, high in the Andes. Peach tones are a balancing act between two pigment families, and altitude keeps them in proportion: cold mountain nights preserve the pink anthocyanins while the strong equatorial sun keeps the warm carotenoid base from washing out. Lower-altitude peaches drift gray; Salma arrives with the warmth intact. Each harvest is cut, hydrated, graded, and cold-packed within 48 hours of leaving the block.

Best for

Terracotta, sunset, and desert wedding palettes, bridal showers, Mother's Day programs, and any design brief that says "warm but soft." Salma bridges pink recipes and orange recipes — it agrees with both sides, which makes it the connector stem in mixed palettes. 50 cm covers retail bunch work; 60 cm carries event centerpieces. Build the warm-pink story from our wholesale rose range.

Care notes

Re-cut at 45° under running water; first hydration in 95–100°F water with preservative, then hold at 34–38°F. Peach tones shift warmer as the bloom opens — pull for the build a day early if the brief specifies the softer bud-stage color. Moderately ethylene-sensitive; standard cooler discipline applies.

What working pros say

"Salma is my terracotta-wedding workhorse. It's the one rose that makes both the rust bridesmaid dresses and the blush ones look intentional."

— Wedding floral designer, Arizona (11 yrs experience)

"Clients can't name the color and that's the point. Not pink, not orange — they just say warm, and Salma is what warm looks like."

— Studio florist, Mid-Atlantic (7 yrs experience)
