A warm candy-pastel pink that opens round and generous. Where Pink Mondial plays it cool and sculptural — blush leaning toward ivory — Hermosa sits a full step warmer and pinker, the tone clients point to when they say "pink pink" without wanting fuchsia. It reads sweet without going saccharine, which is a harder line to hold than it sounds.

The grow story

Grown at 3,200 meters above sea level in our own production in Cayambe, Ecuador, high on the Andean plateau. The pattern up here — intense equatorial light by day, a hard temperature drop at night — slows the bloom and locks pigment into thicker petal tissue. For mid-pinks like Hermosa that matters: lowland-grown pinks drift pale by mid-week, while altitude-grown stock holds its tone to the end. Every harvest is cut, hydrated, graded, and cold-packed within 48 hours of leaving the block.

Best for

Spring weddings, baby showers, quinceañeras, and pink-and-white retail work — Hermosa is the friendly middle of a pink tonal run. The 50 cm grade is the value play for low centerpieces and daily shop bunches; 60 cm covers bouquet work. Step the gradient lighter or hotter from our wholesale rose range.

Care notes

Re-cut at 45° under running water; first hydration in 95–100°F water with preservative. Store at 34–38°F. Hermosa opens evenly and on schedule — receive it five days before the event for a fully open look, three days for a controlled half-open head. Moderately ethylene-sensitive; standard cooler discipline applies.

What working pros say

"Hermosa is my everyday pink. It opens round like a peony cup, the color stays put, and I never have to explain to a client why the pink went white."

— Retail florist, Southeast (13 yrs experience)

"I run Hermosa between blush and hot pink in tonal work — it's the bridge shade. Forty-five petals means it holds shape in a hand-tied without collapsing."

— Wedding floral designer, Pacific Northwest (9 yrs experience)
