The statement pink. Pink Floyd carries a deep, velvety magenta on one of the biggest heads in our pink range — 55 petals opening past nine centimeters — and it is one of the few commercial roses with a genuine fragrance to match the color. Where Pink Mondial whispers blush, Pink Floyd is the opposite pole: maximum saturation, maximum scale, zero subtlety by design.

The grow story

Grown at 3,200 meters in our own production in Cayambe, Ecuador, high in the Andes. A flower this saturated and this large is expensive for the plant to build, and altitude is what finances it: cold nights bank pigment and sugar, intense equatorial days drive growth, and the slow high-altitude cycle gives the 55-petal head time to develop walls thick enough to travel. Cut, hydrated, graded, and cold-packed within 48 hours of harvest.

Best for

Statement installs, fashion and editorial shoots, galas, Valentine's programs that want an alternative to red, and any client who says "make it pop" and means it. The scent makes it a favorite for bridal bouquets where the bride will actually carry it for hours. 70 cm for pedestal drama; 60 cm for bouquets. Stage the supporting cast from our wholesale rose range.

Pairs beautifully with

  • Full Monty (electric pink) for wall-to-wall saturation with size contrast
  • Pink Mondial (blush) for the full pink spectrum in one design
  • Deep Purple (wine purple) for jewel-box palettes
  • Mondial (bright white) for crisp high-contrast work
  • Limonium for airy filler that doesn't compete

Care notes

Re-cut at 45° under running water; first hydration in 95–100°F water with preservative. Store at 34–38°F. The big head needs support — keep sleeves on until first re-cut and never stack bunches. Fragrant varieties respire harder: give Pink Floyd the coldest spot in the cooler and expect the scent to bloom at room temperature. Moderately ethylene-sensitive.

What working pros say

"Pink Floyd is the rose guests walk across the room to smell. A fragrant commercial rose with this head size shouldn't exist, and I build whole designs around the fact that it does."

— Event floral designer, Northeast (17 yrs experience)

"One bunch reads like three. When the budget meeting gets tense, Pink Floyd is how I keep the wow and cut the stem count."

— Wedding florist, Mountain West (6 yrs experience)
