The pink with depth. Dekora runs a medium-to-hot pink with subtle mauve undertones — Kordes breeding that brings a touch of complexity to a category where most pinks read flat. The 40-petal head opens to a classic spiral form with the warm-pink saturation that florists describe as "true rose pink" rather than the cooler candy or coral registers. The grow story

Grown at 3,200 meters in our own production in Cayambe, Ecuador, in the high Andes. The mauve note in Dekora's pink comes from a specific pigment balance that only the slow high-altitude cycle holds steady — at lower elevations or warmer climates, the mauve tips toward magenta or washes out to clean pink. Cold Andean nights stack the pigment layers deep, the intense equatorial light keeps the saturation locked through every bud stage. Cut, hydrated, graded, and cold-packed within 48 hours of harvest.

Care notes

Re-cut at 45° under running water; first hydration in 95–100°F water with preservative, then hold at 34–38°F. Strip foliage below the water line. The nearly-thornless stems make handling efficient but don't skip the standard rose discipline. Moderately ethylene-sensitive. Mauve pinks shift cooler under LED, warmer under tungsten — confirm against venue lighting before personals are built.
