The true pink. Vi Pink holds the exact center of the pink spectrum — the clear, unambiguous rose pink a client means when they just say "pink" with no qualifiers. It sits squarely between Pink Mondial's near-ivory blush and Pink Floyd's saturated magenta, with none of the salmon undertone that pulls many mid-pinks toward peach. Forty-four petals open into a classic, even spiral that photographs the same color it ships.

The grow story

Grown at 3,200 meters in our own production in Cayambe, Ecuador, in the high Andes. A clean mid-pink demands even pigment — any stress blotching shows immediately on a petal this legible. The steady cold of Andean nights lays anthocyanin down in uniform layers while the consistent equatorial day-length keeps every cutting on the same schedule, which is why a Vi Pink box opens even, head after head. Cut, hydrated, graded, and cold-packed within 48 hours of harvest.

Best for

Birthday and everyday retail programs, baby showers, breast-cancer-awareness events, and bridal work that wants definite pink without electric saturation. Vi Pink is the anchor stem in tonal pink gradients — set it at center and step lighter and darker from there. 50 cm prices wrapped bunches efficiently; 60 cm carries event work. Step the gradient from our wholesale rose range.

Pairs beautifully with

  • Pink Mondial (blush) for the light end of the gradient
  • Pink Floyd (deep magenta) for the dark end
  • Be Sweet (clear mid-pink) for dense tonal massing
  • Playa Blanca (creamy white) to give the pink breathing room
  • Limonium for soft filler that keeps the recipe airy

Care notes

Re-cut at 45° under running water; first hydration in 95–100°F water with preservative, then hold at 34–38°F. Vi Pink holds its color from bud through full open with minimal fade — safe to buy against a swatch. Standard rose handling; moderately ethylene-sensitive, so keep ripening fruit out of the cooler.

What working pros say

"Vi Pink is the pink I quote when the client can't articulate the pink. It's never wrong — that's its superpower."

— Retail florist, Ohio (16 yrs experience)

"For ombre work I build everything off Vi Pink as the middle note. Blush on one side, magenta on the other, and the gradient reads like one flower changing its mind."

— Event floral designer, South Florida (9 yrs experience)
