Baby Blue Eucalyptus
The signature garden green. Grown by curated partner growers across the Ecuadorian and Colombian highlands.
The bluest foliage in the trade. Baby blue eucalyptus (Eucalyptus pulverulenta) carries small, rounded juvenile leaves stacked tightly along the stem like coins on a wire, wearing a powdery blue-gray bloom heavier than any of its cousins. Where silver dollar reads silver-green, baby blue genuinely leans blue — the foliage designers reach for when a palette runs cool and the greens on hand keep dragging it warm. Stems are stiff and sculptural, holding their shape in installation work.
The grow story
Sourced from our curated partner growers in the Ecuadorian and Colombian highlands. Fillers and foliage may grow at lower altitudes than roses, but the cold-chain integrity and grading standards remain consistent with our own production. The powdery coating that gives baby blue its color thickens under intense highland sun — and it doubles as the moisture seal behind the species' two-to-three-week vase life.

Best for
Cool palettes — blue, lavender, silver, white — where standard greens fight the scheme, structured bouquet work that uses the stiff stems as armature, wreaths and everlasting pieces, and winter programs where the frosted look is literal. The dense leaf stacking covers mechanics in one pass. Set the focal layer from our wholesale rose range.
Pairs beautifully with
- Cool Water (silvery lavender rose) for the signature cool build
- Blue Hydrangea to deepen the blue register
- Playa Blanca (pure white) for frost-clean contrast
- Dusty Miller to run blue-gray beside silver-white
- Limonium for purple mist through the blue foliage
Care notes
Woody stems: re-cut at a sharp 45° and split thick ends an inch for uptake. Handle with intention — the powdery bloom rubs off where fingers press, leaving green prints on the blue, so grip low on the stem. Essentially ethylene-tolerant and happy at 34–38°F. Like all eucalyptus it air-dries gracefully, keeping both shape and a softened version of the color for everlasting work.
What working pros say
"Baby blue is the only green that doesn't argue with a blue palette. Everything else pulls warm and suddenly the bridesmaids' dresses look off."
— Wedding floral designer, Stamford (12 yrs experience)
"Grab it by the bottom of the stem and nowhere else. Every fingerprint on that powder shows — I tell my freelancers it's wet paint."
— Event florist, Park City (10 yrs experience)
