Silver Dollar Eucalyptus
The signature garden green. Grown by curated partner growers across the Ecuadorian and Colombian highlands.
The foliage that outlasts the flowers. Silver dollar eucalyptus (Eucalyptus cinerea) carries rounded, coin-shaped leaves in a cool silver-green that flatters every palette it touches — it mutes brights, warms whites, and gives blush tones somewhere quiet to land. With a working vase life of two to three weeks and near-total ethylene tolerance, it is the lowest-risk stem in the cooler, which is why most studios treat it as standing inventory rather than a per-event order.
The grow story
Sourced from our curated partner growers in the Ecuadorian and Colombian highlands. Fillers and foliage may grow at lower altitudes than roses, but the cold-chain integrity and grading standards remain consistent with our own production. Highland-grown eucalyptus develops the dense, waxy leaf coating that gives the silver cast its depth — and that same coating is what slows water loss and stretches vase life past the three-week mark when conditioned well.

Best for
Garlands and table runners — the round leaf layers flat and full — bouquet collars, arch and installation greening, and bud-vase programs where a single stem carries a whole vessel. The scent is the signature: clean menthol that reads as freshness before guests see a single flower. Layer it under focals from our wholesale rose range.
Pairs beautifully with
- Quicksand (taupe-blush rose) for the signature editorial pairing
- Vendela (ivory) where silver-green warms the white
- White Hydrangea for volume above the garland line
- Baby's Breath for the airy boho recipe
- Limonium to pull the silver toward lavender
Care notes
Stems are woody — re-cut at a sharp 45° angle to maximize uptake surface, and split thick stems an inch up. Hydrate in cool water; no preservative needed, though clean water extends the already long life. Essentially ethylene-tolerant, so it shares cooler space safely with fruit-adjacent deliveries. Hold at 34–38°F. Out of water, leaves dry slowly and evenly — silver dollar air-dries into usable everlasting stock instead of dying.
What working pros say
"Silver dollar is the only thing I order without a wedding attached. It sits in the cooler for two weeks waiting for work and never complains."
— Studio florist, Kansas City (11 yrs experience)
"Per foot of garland, nothing touches it. The round leaves stack flat and cover wire in one pass — half the stems of leafier greens."
— Event florist, Phoenix (14 yrs experience)
