Lavender at detail scale. Each stem branches into three to five soft lilac blooms — the silvery register of Cool Water shrunk to the scale of boutonnieres and bud vases. Lavender spray roses are the rarest color in the spray category, and that scarcity works in a designer's favor: a lavender personal or accent reads instantly more considered than the default white or pink.

The grow story

Grown at 3,200 meters in our own production in Cayambe, Ecuador, high in the Andes. Lavender pigment is the most heat-fragile in the rose palette, and small spray blooms have the least tissue to protect it. The cold Andean nights set the lilac tone deep into each bud while the steady equatorial light brings the whole branching spray to color evenly — no gray fade, no pink drift. Cut, hydrated, graded, and cold-packed within 48 hours of harvest.

Best for

Lavender and wisteria wedding palettes, spring shower programs, flower crowns where the muted tone photographs beautifully against hair, and bud-vase table runs. Lavender spray also tempers bright recipes — a few stems between hot pinks cool the whole design down. Set the focal layer from our wholesale rose range.

Pairs beautifully with

  • Cool Water (silvery lavender) as the focal anchor
  • Ocean Song (dusty lavender) for the muted middle layer
  • Country Blues (purple garden rose) for open-form texture
  • Violet Hill (deep violet) to anchor the dark end
  • Limonium for lavender-tinged filler that extends the tone

Care notes

Re-cut at 45° under running water; first hydration in 95–100°F water with preservative, then hold at 34–38°F. Strip foliage below the water line. Lavender shades read cooler under LED and warmer under tungsten — check personals against venue lighting before the final build. Moderately ethylene-sensitive; keep fruit out of the cooler.

What working pros say

"Lavender spray books itself. I put one crown photo on the studio feed and spent the next quarter making nothing else."

— Wedding floral designer, Santa Fe (10 yrs experience)

"It's the peacekeeper in bright recipes. Hot pink and orange start shouting at each other, lavender spray sits between them and the design calms right down."

— Event florist, Brooklyn (13 yrs experience)
