The fine-point pen of line flowers. Veronica draws a slender, tapering spire of tiny purple florets — a fraction of the width of delphinium or snapdragon — that lets designers add vertical gesture at bouquet scale, where a full spike would overwhelm. The tip curves slightly as it grows, and that small wandering arc is the charm: a few stems of veronica give a composed arrangement the loose, just-gathered movement that reads as garden rather than shop.

The grow story

Grown by our partner specialty growers in the Ecuadorian and Colombian highlands, working under cold-chain standards equivalent to Magnaflor's own production at Cayambe. Veronica is a perennial that flowers hardest in cool, bright conditions — the highland combination of strong equatorial light and low night temperatures keeps the spires dense with florets year-round. Partner growers are vetted for color stability and stem consistency that match our quality bar.

Best for

Bridal bouquets that need fine vertical accents, bud-vase programs where one curved spire makes the composition, garden-style centerpieces at the detail layer, and boutonniere work — a single veronica tip beside a spray rose is a finished design. It is the line flower for tight quarters. Anchor the rounded forms from our wholesale rose range.

Care notes

Veronica wilts dramatically when dry and recovers just as dramatically with care — if heads arrive soft, re-cut at 45° and give a deep, cool drink with preservative; they typically stand back up within hours. Strip the fine foliage below the water line. Moderately ethylene-sensitive; keep fruit out of the cooler. Hold at 34–38°F and store upright, as the soft tips set a bend when stored flat.

What working pros say

"Veronica is the gesture stem. A bouquet without it looks arranged; with five stems it looks like someone walked a garden with shears."

— Wedding floral designer, Madison (11 yrs experience)

"Don't panic at the unboxing. Veronica arrives looking tired, drinks for an afternoon, and reports for duty by evening — every single time."

— Event florist, Birmingham (13 yrs experience)
