The pink rosette. Pink Xpression spins 65 petals into a compact, swirled rosette in a vivid rose pink — the garden-form sibling to Mandarin Xpression's orange, and a textural alternative to the formal spirals of Vi Pink. The head is the smallest in our garden range, which is its tactical advantage: it delivers true garden-rose character at a scale that works in bouquets, bud vases, and tight recipes where a full-size cup would dominate.

The grow story

Grown at 3,200 meters in our own production in Cayambe, Ecuador, in the high Andes. Packing 65 petals into a five-centimeter bud requires the slowest possible development — exactly what the cold Andean nights enforce. Each layer sets thick and pigment-dense before the next forms, and the consistent equatorial light keeps the pink uniform from the outer guard petals to the swirled center. Cut, hydrated, graded, and cold-packed within 48 hours of harvest.

Best for

Bridal bouquets where garden texture has to stay in proportion, bud-vase table programs, shower and brunch work, and pink recipes that need a shape change without a scale change. The small dense rosette also wires beautifully for flower crowns and cake work. 50 cm covers most of its jobs; 60 cm for taller hand-tieds. Vary the forms from our wholesale rose range.

Pairs beautifully with

  • Vi Pink (medium pink) for spiral-against-rosette form contrast
  • Pink Floyd (deep magenta) to anchor the saturated end
  • Be Sweet (clear mid-pink) for tonal massing
  • Spray Rose Pink to step the scale down once more
  • Limonium for airy filler between the rosettes

Care notes

Re-cut at 45° under running water; first hydration in 95–100°F water with preservative, then hold at 34–38°F. The tight rosette takes two to three days to swirl open — order ahead of the event date. Small dense heads are sturdy travelers, but keep bunches sleeved to protect the outer petals. Moderately ethylene-sensitive.

What working pros say

"Pink Xpression solved my bud-vase problem. A full garden rose looks stuffed into a bud vase — this one looks composed, and the table needs six instead of ten."

— Event floral designer, Charleston (10 yrs experience)

"It's the garden rose that behaves in a bouquet. All the swirl, none of the floppy drama when the bride carries it for four hours."

— Wedding florist, Minneapolis (7 yrs experience)
