The red that opens its heart. Hearts takes the saturated red territory of Freedom and reshapes it into a 60-petal garden form — a cupped bloom that unfurls into layered, ruffled depth instead of holding a formal spiral. In a market where red roses all read as the same valentine cliche, Hearts is the red that reads as a love letter in a different handwriting: romantic, textural, and unmistakably garden-grown in character.

The grow story

Grown at 3,200 meters in our own production in Cayambe, Ecuador, high in the Andes. Red garden forms demand the most from a plant: deep anthocyanin saturation across sixty petals of surface area. The cold Andean nights bank that pigment layer by layer while the slow high-altitude cycle gives each petal the wall thickness to survive the open form's exposure in transit. Each harvest is cut, hydrated, graded, and cold-packed within 48 hours of leaving the block.

Best for

Valentine's programs that want to outclass the standard dozen, anniversary and proposal work, dark romantic weddings, and editorial red stories. Hearts elevates a red recipe the way a garden rose always does — by making it look chosen rather than default. 50 cm for compote and bowl designs; 60 cm for bouquets. Complete the red range from our wholesale rose range.

Care notes

Re-cut at 45° under running water; first hydration in 95–100°F water with preservative, then hold at 34–38°F. Plan around the open: Hearts needs two to three days to reach the layered face that justifies it. The open cup is more fragile than a spiral — build it last and transport supported. Moderately ethylene-sensitive.
