Stock
The signature deep purple. Grown by curated partner growers across the Ecuadorian and Colombian highlands.
The fragrance flower of the line category. Stock packs densely ruffled florets up a thick, leafy spike and carries a warm clove-and-spice perfume that fills a room faster than any rose — for scented briefs, it is the most cost-effective fragrance per stem in the catalog. The purple form runs rich violet with a silver sheen on the petal backs, and the column of bloom is solid enough that stock works as mass and line at the same time.
The grow story
Grown by our partner specialty growers in the Ecuadorian and Colombian highlands, working under cold-chain standards equivalent to Magnaflor's own production at Cayambe. Stock is a true cool-weather crop — heat blows the spike open and burns the scent off — so the highland climate's cool nights are what keep the florets tight and the perfume deep year-round. Partner growers are vetted for color stability and spike consistency that match our quality bar.

Best for
Scented wedding work — the aisle arrangement guests mention at dinner — garden-style designs that need vertical mass, lavender and violet palettes, and hand-tied bouquets where the perfume is part of the gift. Stock is the answer when a client asks for flowers that smell like flowers. Set the focal layer from our wholesale rose range.
Pairs beautifully with
- Ocean Song (dusty lavender rose) for the tonal violet build
- Country Blues (purple garden rose) at open-form scale
- Purple Hydrangea for mass below the spikes
- Limonium to mist the purple register
- Snapdragon for a second spike with a different voice
Care notes
Stock fouls water faster than any flower in this catalog — the thick stems and heavy foliage decay quickly, and the clove perfume turns swampy when they do. Strip every leaf below the water line, use preservative, and change water every one to two days without fail. Re-cut at 45°; some designers split thick stems an inch for uptake. Moderately ethylene-sensitive; hold at 34–38°F, and keep it upright — the tips bend skyward when stored flat.
What working pros say
"Stock is the cheapest luxury I sell. Twenty dollars of it and the whole venue smells like a perfume counter."
— Wedding floral designer, San Antonio (10 yrs experience)
"Change the water like it's a religion. Fresh water, stock is heaven for a week; lazy water, it tells everyone in the room by Thursday."
— Studio florist, Rochester (14 yrs experience)
